Ingredients

Servings
Serving size 2 cookies
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butter , softened
  • 2 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

These soft chocolate chip cookies have lightly golden edges, soft centers and plenty of melted chocolate in every bite. Made from scratch with butter, brown sugar, vanilla and chocolate chips, they're a classic homemade cookie that's ready in just over 20 minutes.

INSTRUCTIONS

PREPARE THE DOUGH

Preheat your oven to 375°F and lightly grease a baking sheet.

In one bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients, including the chocolate chips.

In a separate bowl, mix together the softened butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a soft cookie dough forms.

BAKE

Using a cookie scoop, scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie for spreading.

Bake for 7–9 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden while the centers remain soft.

COOL

Allow the cookies to rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
